Padma Sri fever takes over Bollywood

Most of our film awards have already lost its significance, thanks to the infamous lobbying that surrounds it. Categories are invented; awards are distributed so as to keep everyone happy. Recently some Bollywood names made headlines by bagging the prestigious Padma Sri. I just hope they realize that it is different from all those awards they’ve been getting. Earlier Padma Shri was given more for achievements in the field of arts, civil services, engineering, medicine, education, literature and arts. I seriously wonder why are they contaminating it with Bollywood?
